Application / SCADA Engineer (Contract)

About the role

Avanceon seeks a dynamic Application / SCADA Engineer to join its Qatar operations team. You will design, develop, test, and commission SCADA and HMI applications for industrial automation projects, working closely with clients and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Develop User Requirement Specifications (URS) and software/hardware design specifications.
• Design, implement, test, and document SCADA and HMI logic/scripts.
• Create validation and testing protocols for SCADA systems.
• Specify, procure, and manage software licenses.
• Assist in estimating project man‑hours and execution requirements.
• Install, test, commission, and start up SCADA systems at client sites.
• Provide training to operators and engineers on SCADA platforms.
• Coordinate with clients and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
• Maintain accurate technical documentation in line with company standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechatronics Engineering or Computer Science.
• 2–4 years of experience in SCADA system development and implementation.
• Hands‑on experience with AVEVA System Platform and FactoryTalk View SE.
• Experience with GISIZE Geospatial Module.
• Valid Qatari work visa/NOC preferred; Indian nationals encouraged to apply.
• Detail‑oriented, strong organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure.
