Construction Supervisor – Structural Projects

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Construction Supervisor to lead structural construction and installation activities on oil & gas projects. The role involves overseeing site work, ensuring compliance with engineering standards, and coordinating with contractors to deliver projects safely and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise site construction and installation across relevant engineering disciplines, ensuring safety and adherence to scope, specifications and standards.
• Review and endorse contractors’ construction plans, method statements, JSAs and schedules.
• Issue and monitor Permit‑to‑Work (PTW) documents and ensure compliance with PTW conditions.
• Conduct inspections, testing and commissioning activities, initiate Mechanical Completion Certificates and manage Punch List items.
• Review and endorse “as‑built” drawings, red‑marked up documents and Construction Dossiers.
• Coordinate mobilization of contractors, facilitate permits and gate passes, and participate in hand‑over and acceptance procedures.

Required profile

• Higher National Certificate (HNC), Higher National Diploma (HND) or Diploma in Instrumentation, Electrical or Mechanical engineering.
• 8‑10 years of experience in construction and installation within the oil & gas sector.
• Proven experience implementing construction best practices, systems and standards.
