Crane Operator

About the role

The Crane Operator is responsible for safely and efficiently operating offshore and onshore cranes to lift, transport, and position materials, equipment, and personnel. This role ensures compliance with company procedures and industry regulations while supporting project execution.

Key responsibilities

• Operate pedestal, mobile, or overhead cranes safely and efficiently.
• Perform pre‑use inspections and routine checks of crane equipment.
• Execute lifting operations according to approved lifting plans and procedures.
• Coordinate with banksmen, riggers, and supervisors during lifting activities.
• Ensure compliance with lifting regulations, safety procedures, and permit requirements.
• Report equipment defects and coordinate maintenance requirements.
• Maintain accurate lifting logs and operational records.
• Participate in emergency response activities when required.

Required profile

• High School Certificate or equivalent.
• Completion of an approved theoretical crane operator training course.
• Completion of practical crane operation training.
• Valid crane operator certification recognized by industry standards.
• Minimum 5 years of crane operating experience, preferably in oil and gas, offshore, marine, or heavy industrial environments.
• Valid medical fitness certificate for offshore work where applicable.
• Knowledge of lifting operations, rigging practices, and HSE requirements.
