CSSD Technician

About the role

Aman Hospital is looking for a skilled CSSD Technician to join its central sterile services department. The role focuses on ensuring surgical instruments and medical equipment are cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized to the highest standards of infection control.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment.
• Operate autoclaves and other sterilization machinery safely and efficiently.
• Pack, label, and store sterile items according to protocol.
• Maintain accurate sterilization records and logs.
• Follow infection control policies and international standards.
• Conduct routine checks and preventive maintenance of CSSD equipment.

Required profile

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a hospital setting.
• Higher secondary school certificate plus a Certificate in CSSD (minimum six months) or a Diploma in a health‑related field.
• Certification by the Board of Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) USA or Health Care Sterile Processing Sterile Association (HSPA) USA is preferred.
• Locally available with a valid NOC.

Required skills

• Autoclave operation and maintenance.
• Handling of sterilization equipment and indicators.
• Knowledge of sterilization techniques and infection control protocols.
