GIS Expert – Mapping & Application Development

About the role

Egis is seeking a seasoned GIS Expert to join its Lusail office. You will design, develop, and maintain sophisticated GIS mapping applications that support strategic decision‑making across the company’s operations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy web‑based and mobile GIS applications using industry‑standard platforms.
• Analyze complex geospatial datasets and create interactive visualisations and maps.
• Manage and optimise geospatial databases, ensuring data integrity and efficient retrieval.
• Conduct spatial analysis and modelling for urban planning, infrastructure, and environmental projects.
• Customize and configure GIS software such as ArcGIS and QGIS to meet organisational needs.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to gather requirements and deliver tailored GIS solutions.
• Produce comprehensive documentation and perform QA testing of GIS applications.
• Provide technical support and training to end‑users.

Required profile

• 10+ years of professional experience in GIS mapping, geospatial analysis, and application development.
• Advanced proficiency with GIS platforms (ArcGIS, QGIS or equivalents).
• Strong programming skills in Python, JavaScript, SQL or similar languages.
• Proven expertise in spatial data analysis, cartography, and map design.
