About the role
The In‑Room Dining (IRD) Manager leads the daily operations of room service at Sheraton Grand Doha Resort. This entry‑level management position ensures high‑quality food and beverage delivery to guest rooms and hospitality suites while maintaining budgetary targets and guest satisfaction.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise and manage all day‑to‑day room service activities, including staffing, scheduling, and service standards.
- Train, coach, and support team members to follow brand policies and deliver consistent guest experiences.
- Monitor compliance with room service policies, health and safety regulations, and operational procedures.
- Adjust staffing levels to meet guest demand, operational needs, and financial objectives.
- Communicate performance expectations, provide feedback, and recognize team achievements.
- Assist other food‑and‑beverage outlets during peak periods as needed.
Required profile
- High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of food‑and‑beverage or culinary experience, or
- Associate degree in Food Service Management, Hotel & Restaurant Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or related field with 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, integrity, and a collaborative leadership style.
Required skills
- Knowledge of room service operations and food‑service standards.
- Ability to perform duties in the absence of staff members.
- Understanding of budgeting and financial decision‑making in a hospitality environment.
