Kitchen Steward

About the role

As a Kitchen Steward at Accor, you will ensure the kitchen and food‑preparation areas remain spotless, safe, and ready for service. You will work closely with the culinary team to support daily operations while upholding the highest standards of hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Perform cleaning duties for cooking utensils, cutlery, crockery, and kitchen equipment using industrial washers or hand‑washing as needed.
• Maintain walls, floors, and workspaces according to the prescribed cleaning schedule.
• Sanitize and organize food storage areas, including fridges, cool rooms, and dry‑goods stores, and report any hazards.
• Remove rubbish, clean industrial bins daily, and keep waste areas free of refuse.
• Assist with ingredient assembly and preparation when required.
• Carry out general maintenance of the loading dock and enforce hygiene regulations.
• Perform any additional kitchen‑related tasks as directed.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 months experience in a similar kitchen or stewarding role (preferred).
• Physically fit; able to stand for an 8‑hour shift and lift items over 10 kg.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to work efficiently.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Willingness to work weekends and public holidays when needed.
• Motivation to develop further within the Ibis brand.
