Part‑time Science Instructor – Chemistry & Biology Labs

About the role

The University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) seeks part‑time instructors to deliver first‑ and second‑year undergraduate laboratory courses in Chemistry and Biology. The role involves teaching in‑person labs, assessing student performance, and contributing to a student‑centered learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and conduct laboratory sessions for General Chemistry, Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Anatomy & Physiology.
• Assess and grade lab reports, practical exams, and participation.
• Maintain laboratory safety standards and ensure proper use of equipment.
• Collaborate with the Head of the Science Department on curriculum delivery and scheduling.
• Provide timely feedback and support to students to promote academic success.

Required profile

• Resident of Qatar with a valid QID and a No‑Objection Certificate (NOC) for employment.
• Passionate about student success and committed to high‑quality teaching.
• Available to teach between 8:00 AM and 8:00 PM, Sunday through Thursday.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work in a diverse academic environment.

Required skills

• Knowledge of General Chemistry laboratory techniques.
• Understanding of Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Anatomy & Physiology concepts.
• Ability to manage laboratory safety protocols.
