Procurement Specialist – Materials Management for E&P Projects

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will lead Materials Management activities for Category III to VI Exploration & Production (E&P) projects in Qatar. You will provide strategic procurement direction, technical expertise, and hands‑on logistics support across multiple ongoing and shutdown projects.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and execute Materials Management tasks aligned with project objectives and timelines.
• Support procurement and material needs for all ongoing PMD and shutdown projects.
• Assist FDE/PED teams with pre‑Gate 2 procurement strategies, budgetary quotations, and long‑lead item delivery schedules.
• Review and approve contractor procurement and materials management procedures.
• Supervise SAP‑BOM updates for Gate V project close‑out.
• Monitor and track project and shutdown materials to ensure timely delivery.
• Manage surplus inventory and oversee blinding materials across projects.
• Coordinate long‑lead item procurement through centralized purchasing.
• Review material reconciliation reports and collaborate with QA/QC, warehouse, and contractors for inspections.
• Maintain the Preferred Vendor List and oversee vendor pre‑qualification.
• Supervise Materials Coordinators to ensure performance meets project needs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (mandatory).
• Certification in Materials Management (preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of Materials Management experience in the Oil & Gas industry.
• Proven track record managing materials for brownfield projects.
• Strong knowledge of change‑management practices, including leadership, coaching, and mentoring.
