Rotating Equipment Repair Technician / Machinist

About the role

We are looking for a highly skilled Rotating Equipment Repair Technician / Machinist to join Siemens Energy’s Transformation of Industry division. The role involves precision machining and complex repairs of turbo and reciprocating compressors, as well as steam and gas turbines, supporting our decarbonisation initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Operate horizontal lathes, boring machines and small milling machines to produce precision components.
• Perform complex repairs and reverse‑engineering on turbo compressors, reciprocating compressors, steam turbines and gas turbines.
• Conduct detailed dimensional inspections using precision measuring tools and prepare inspection reports.
• Generate 2D and 3D CAD drawings for components and assemblies.
• Collaborate on workshop process improvements and maintain a strong safety culture.
• Document work and communicate findings using MS Office.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical certification in Mechanical Engineering or Machining.
• 10+ years of experience in rotating equipment repairs and machining operations.
• Proven ability to operate horizontal lathes, boring machines and milling machines.
• Strong knowledge of turbo compressors, reciprocating compressors, steam turbines and gas turbines repair processes.
