Senior Contract Officer - LNG Trading Expert

About the Role

Join a world-class energy trading powerhouse as a Senior Contract Officer within our rapidly expanding LNG trading division. In this high-impact role, you will serve as a strategic pillar, ensuring the seamless execution of complex LNG contracts and service agreements in a fast-paced global market.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and manage comprehensive LNG contracts, including MSPA, CN, and various service agreements, in close coordination with traders and commercial teams.
• Lead and support contract negotiations, managing amendments while ensuring strict alignment with legal and commercial objectives.
• Maintain meticulous and up-to-date documentation for all contractual agreements to ensure operational excellence.
• Proactively identify, analyze, and escalate negotiation bottlenecks, collaborating with internal stakeholders to implement effective solutions.
• Guarantee full compliance with all legal, regulatory, and internal corporate policies and standards.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in contract management, with at least 3 years specifically dedicated to LNG trading.
• Deep technical understanding of both physical and derivative LNG transactions.
• Proven ability to identify, assess, and mitigate complex legal and commercial risks.
• Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to thrive both independently and collaboratively within a high-pressure, fast-paced trading environment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Law, Business Administration, or a related field; an MBA or MSc is highly preferred.
