Senior Windows System Administrator

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Windows System Administrator to ensure the stability, security, and performance of our IT infrastructure. You will manage Windows servers, Active Directory, virtualization, and storage environments while supporting users and maintaining business continuity.

Key responsibilities

• Administer and maintain Windows servers, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policies, and user accounts.
• Perform installation, configuration, patching, and upgrades of hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
• Monitor system performance, availability, and capacity, and resolve issues proactively.
• Implement and maintain backup, disaster recovery, and failover procedures (Symantec NetBackup, Veeam).
• Manage virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V) and associated infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain PowerShell automation scripts.
• Ensure compliance with security standards, patch management, and system hardening.
• Support cloud and hybrid environments (Azure AD, Microsoft 365) where applicable.
• Coordinate hardware upgrades, vendor interactions, and documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Professional certifications preferred (Microsoft Windows Server Hybrid Administrator, MCSE, VCP, CompTIA Server+/Security+).
• Minimum 10 years of proven experience as a Windows System Administrator or similar role.
• Hands‑on experience with enterprise‑level server and virtualization environments.

• Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022 administration.
• Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, File/Print Services.
• Virtualization technologies: VMware, Hyper‑V.
• Backup solutions: Symantec NetBackup, Veeam.
• Storage systems: SAN, NAS, iSCSI.
• PowerShell scripting and automation.
• System monitoring, performance tuning, patch management.
• Networking fundamentals: TCP/IP, VPN, LAN/WAN.
• Security practices: system hardening, endpoint protection, auditing.
• Exposure to cloud services (Azure, Microsoft 365) is a plus.
