Accounting Manager

About the role
The Accounting Manager will lead the full accounting function across a diversified group of companies, ensuring accurate records, timely closings, strong internal controls, and reliable reporting for management decisions.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee daily accounting operations for multiple business units, including automotive, F&B, retail, real estate, maintenance, events, car service centers, and natural stone trading.
- Supervise and coach the finance team, assign work, review output, and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy.
- Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, payments, receipts, intercompany transactions, accruals, pre‑payments, and provisions.
- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing, ensuring complete and supported ledgers.
- Prepare and review management reports, financial statements, P&L, balance sheets, cash‑flow reports, and performance analysis for each business unit.
- Maintain controls over cash, bank accounts, petty cash, corporate cards, inventory, receivables, payables, and financial commitments.
- Coordinate with operations, procurement, sales, warehouse, service, and branch teams to ensure correct recording of transactions.
- Support ERP implementation, chart‑of‑accounts standardisation, finance policy rollout, and process‑improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with external auditors, tax advisors, banks, suppliers, and customers, identifying risks and recommending corrective actions.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
- Professional qualification (CPA, ACCA, CMA, CA or equivalent) is mandatory.
- 7‑10 years of accounting experience, including at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Experience in a multi‑company, multi‑branch or shared‑services finance environment.
- Proven experience with ERP systems.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
- Expertise in month‑end closing, audit requirements and cost allocation.
- Practical understanding of inventory accounting for vehicles, spare parts, F&B stock, retail goods, and marble/stone trading.
- Knowledge of fixed assets, project accounting and intercompany balances.
- Proficiency in ERP system implementation and chart‑of‑accounts design.
