Accounting & Receiving Clerk

About the role

The Accounting & Receiving Clerk supports the finance team at JW Marriott in Doha by ensuring accurate financial data entry, maintaining records, and handling basic receiving functions. This full‑time position requires strong attention to detail and the ability to work with electronic spreadsheets and financial codes.

Key responsibilities

• Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper coding.
• Organise, secure, and maintain all files, records, cash and cash equivalents in line with company policies.
• Record, store, access and analyse computerized financial information.
• Maintain accurate electronic spreadsheets for financial and accounting data.
• Classify, code and summarise numerical data using journals, ledgers or computer systems.
• Prepare, maintain and distribute financial, accounting, auditing or payroll reports and tables.
• Complete period‑end closing procedures and related reports.
• Prepare, review, reconcile and issue bills, invoices and account statements.
• Follow all company policies, maintain confidentiality and protect company assets.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related work experience in accounting or finance.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues.
• Physical ability to move objects up to 10 pounds without assistance.
