AI Software Engineer - Full Stack Developer (Java)

About the role

EPAM is seeking an AI Software Engineer who will work as a Full‑Stack Developer using Java. Based in Doha, the role is on‑site and focuses on embedding AI‑assisted capabilities into enterprise‑grade microservices and platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and integrate Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic AI, and automation components into Java/Spring Boot services.
• Implement Spec‑Driven Development (SDD) templates, governance, and CI/CD pipelines for AI models, prompts and specifications.
• Deploy and operate solutions on Azure AKS and Azure Web Apps, ensuring stability, security and observability.
• Build production‑grade AI use cases, including LLM integration, embeddings and retrieval mechanisms.
• Track KPIs related to AI‑enabled delivery, adoption, quality and risk management.
• Share knowledge through playbooks, training sessions and mentorship across engineering teams.

Required profile

• 5+ years of hands‑on experience with Core Java, Spring/Spring Boot and microservices.
• Strong background in cloud‑native architecture, Oracle/PLSQL databases and Kafka.
• 1–2 years of experience delivering LLM‑based solutions, RAG or agentic systems in production.
• Familiarity with Spec‑Driven Development concepts and governance practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with global teams.
