Art Teacher (Full-time, Doha)

About the role

The Art Teacher will join an American‑based international school in Doha, delivering engaging, curriculum‑aligned art lessons to a diverse student body. This full‑time, on‑site position focuses on fostering creativity, technical skill, and critical thinking through a variety of visual art media.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and deliver daily art lessons that align with the American Academy curriculum.
• Teach a range of art techniques and media, including painting and other visual art forms suitable for school‑aged learners.
• Assess student work, provide constructive feedback, and track artistic progress.
• Contribute to the development and refinement of the art curriculum.
• Organise student artwork displays and participate in school events that promote creativity.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Art Education, Fine Arts, Education or a related field.
• Previous classroom teaching experience, preferably in a K‑5 international or multicultural setting.
• Strong instructional skills with the ability to adapt lessons for diverse learning needs and cultural backgrounds.
• Excellent communication and classroom‑management abilities.
• Commitment to creating an inclusive, student‑centered learning environment.
