Arts & Culture Specialist Consultant

About the role

Northbourne Advisory is seeking an Arts & Culture Specialist Consultant to join its Doha office. The role blends deep knowledge of the regional and international arts scene with strategic communications expertise, helping cultural institutions turn exhibitions, programmes and events into compelling stories.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver day‑to‑day strategic communications programmes for arts and culture clients.
• Craft messaging, campaigns, media strategies and storytelling around exhibitions, cultural programmes and major announcements.
• Maintain direct relationships with clients, cultural institutions, media outlets and key stakeholders.
• Produce high‑quality written materials such as briefing documents, media content and strategic recommendations.
• Identify creative opportunities to expand audience reach for cultural organisations.
• Engage media across arts, culture, lifestyle and broader international communications.
• Contribute specialist cultural insight to Northbourne’s advisory work and support new‑business pitches.

Required profile

• Proven experience in arts, culture, museums, heritage or creative‑industry communications.
• Background in PR, communications, consultancy or related fields.
• Strong understanding of the regional (GCC) and global arts and culture landscape.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client workstreams to a high standard.
• Existing relationships with arts and culture media and stakeholders are a plus.
• Residency in Qatar or ability to work onsite in Doha.
