Assistant Buyer

About the role

We are seeking an Assistant Buyer to support our category planning, vendor coordination, and inventory monitoring efforts. The role contributes to achieving gross margin targets and maintaining a sell‑through rate of 60% or higher by assisting in product strategy and procurement activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support product range development through market research, trend analysis, and sales performance evaluation.
• Assist in seasonal purchase planning, store grading, and pricing decisions using historical data and competitive benchmarks.
• Prepare and track procurement orders, monitor in‑transit inventory, and ensure timely deliveries in line with service level agreements.
• Help maintain strong supplier relationships, follow up on performance, delivery timelines, and contractual compliance.
• Conduct store visits to assess product displays, gather competitor insights, and monitor stock levels, raising alerts for adjustments.
• Stay updated on fashion trends and competitor activities to inform buying decisions.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in retail or merchandising, preferably within a fashion or lifestyle brand.
• Bachelor’s degree in Fashion, Retail Management, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and basic ERP systems.
• Understanding of product strategy, vendor coordination, range planning, and trend analysis.
• Familiarity with market research, sales data interpretation, and forecasting techniques.
