Assistant Front Desk Manager

About the role

The Assistant Front Desk Manager supports the front desk team in delivering seamless guest experiences at a Marriott hotel in Doha. This role involves handling check‑ins, payments, and guest inquiries while ensuring operational standards are met.

Key responsibilities

• Assist guests with check‑in, room assignment, key issuance, and payment processing.
• Resolve payment issues, including credit‑card problems, and follow up on guest satisfaction.
• Block rooms, manage special requests, and coordinate with Bellperson and Housekeeping to fulfill guest needs.
• Track room readiness, review shift logs, and maintain accurate guest accounts.
• Count and balance cash drawers at the start and end of each shift, and drop receipts according to accounting procedures.
• Support management in hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluating front desk staff.
• Report safety incidents, uphold company policies, and maintain a professional appearance.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of experience in front desk or guest services within a hotel environment.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
• Ability to work standing, walking, and lifting objects up to 10 lb.
