Assistant Supervisor – Fleet Management (Doha)

About the role

The Assistant Supervisor supports the Fleet Management Manager in ensuring QMMF’s vehicle fleet operates safely, legally and cost‑effectively. The role covers daily operations, maintenance coordination, driver supervision and compliance, acting as the manager’s deputy and first point of contact for fleet requests across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and allocate vehicles and drivers to meet daily operational needs and department requests.
• Coordinate fleet deployment for race weekends, test days and national events, including support, recovery and staff transport.
• Monitor vehicle usage, movement logs and fuel consumption, and follow up on irregularities.
• Schedule preventive maintenance, coordinate repairs with workshops and ensure work meets standards.
• Maintain up‑to‑date records of fleet assets, their condition, location and assigned users.
• Keep vehicle registration, technical inspection and insurance current, and manage accident and damage reporting.
• Supervise drivers and fleet support staff, manage rosters, licences and training needs.
• Support annual fleet budget preparation, review supplier quotations and prepare regular reports on availability, utilization, costs and compliance.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Transport Management, Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in fleet or transport operations, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or team‑lead role.
• Experience in Qatar or the GCC with knowledge of local vehicle registration, inspection and traffic procedures.
• Valid Qatar driving licence (light vehicle minimum; heavy vehicle licence an advantage).

Required skills

• Working knowledge of fleet management or GPS tracking systems.
• Proficiency in MS Excel for data tracking and reporting.
