Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology

About the role

The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies seeks an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychology to join its growing School of Social Sciences and Humanities. This full‑time position will support the institute’s scientist‑practitioner model, combining teaching, research, and professional supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Teach a minimum of two graduate courses per semester, covering clinical assessment, psychopathology, and evidence‑based interventions.
• Deliver lectures and seminars for the Clinical Psychology program.
• Supervise Master’s, Doctoral theses and Capstone projects, as well as students’ practical training.
• Conduct individual and group research, publish in international peer‑reviewed journals, and contribute to the institute’s research agenda.
• Participate in academic activities, curriculum development, and departmental meetings.

Required profile

• Doctorate in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in psychological assessment.
• Strong track record of research and publications in international peer‑reviewed journals.
• Experience conducting individual and group research.
• Proven teaching and graduate‑level supervision experience.
• Professional practice experience, preferably in the Arab region, and a license to practice clinical psychology in the home country.
• Proficiency in Arabic language and interest in research related to the Arab region.
