Associate SOC L1 Analyst

About the role

The Associate SOC L1 Analyst will join the security operations team to monitor cyber‑security solutions, triage alerts and support rapid incident response. The role focuses on improving the efficiency of detection mechanisms while staying current on emerging threats.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor security tools and platforms for suspicious activity.
• Triaging and investigating security alerts to determine severity.
• Escalate incidents and coordinate swift response actions.
• Contribute to the tuning and optimisation of detection rules.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of threat landscape and industry best practices.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a SOC or SIEM environment.
• Ability to work shift‑based schedules.
• Strong analytical and logical thinking with solid case investigation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
• Good understanding of Windows and Unix operating systems, TCP/IP traffic, and cloud security concepts.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with SIEM platforms such as Splunk and Microsoft Sentinel.
• Proficiency in Windows and Unix/Linux environments.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP network traffic analysis.
• Familiarity with cloud security principles.
