Barista – Specialty Coffee & Wellness Drinks

About the role

We are seeking a Specialty Beverage Barista to join the Society Social Club’s Food & Beverage team. The role focuses on delivering premium coffee, smoothies, protein shakes and wellness drinks to members who value fitness and health.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and serve specialty coffee, iced coffees, matcha, smoothies, protein shakes and wellness drinks following approved recipes.
• Create high‑quality latte art and ensure consistent beverage presentation.
• Promote menu items, healthy add‑ons and seasonal offerings.
• Engage with members, offering recommendations aligned with their fitness and wellness goals.
• Maintain consistency in taste, portioning and presentation of all beverages.
• Operate POS systems accurately and handle cash transactions.
• Monitor stock levels, support inventory counts and follow FIFO procedures.
• Keep workstations, equipment and service areas clean and compliant with HACCP and food‑safety standards.
• Support opening, closing and daily operational procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in a specialty coffee shop, wellness café, fitness club café or premium F&B concept.
• Experience preparing specialty coffees, smoothies, protein shakes and functional beverages.
• Food Safety or HACCP certification preferred.
• Previous experience in a health, fitness or wellness‑focused brand is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of coffee extraction, espresso machines and brewing techniques.
• Advanced latte‑art and beverage‑garnishing skills.
• Understanding of smoothie preparation, nutritional beverages and healthy‑lifestyle concepts.
• Excellent guest service, communication and teamwork abilities.
