BD and Growth Operations Specialist

About the role

The BD & Growth Operations Specialist supports BSL’s business development initiatives while managing growth operations such as bid management, CRM governance, and reporting. Reporting to the Business Development Manager, the role works under day‑to‑day direction and contributes to the broader growth strategy set by the Head of Growth.

Key responsibilities

• Own the day‑to‑day governance and integrity of the Growth CRM, ensuring opportunities, contacts, values, stages and activities are complete and up to date.
• Conduct regular CRM reviews with business owners, maintain accurate pipeline information and support forecasting and analysis.
• Provide regular updates and reports on business development activities and achievements.
• Assist in drafting business plans, sales pitches, quotations, presentations, contracts and other client‑facing documents.
• Collaborate with pricing and contracts teams to implement growth strategies and sales plans.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients to drive revenue in HR outsourcing, training and procurement outsourcing.
• Review new tenders, RFPs and RFQs, preparing initial opportunity assessments covering scope, requirements, timelines and commercial considerations.
• Prepare Bid/No‑Bid documentation and coordinate decision sessions with the BD Manager, Head of Growth and senior leadership.
• Coordinate proposal development with relevant functions, ensuring compliance and timely submission.
• Maintain bid records, supporting documentation and capture lessons learned for future opportunities.

Required profile

• Reports to the Business Development Manager and works under their day‑to‑day direction.
• Supports the growth strategy defined by the Head of Growth.
• Engages with existing and potential customers to identify new opportunities and understand requirements.
