Business Analyst

About the role

Our Company is seeking a highly analytical and commercially minded Business Analyst to join the Corporate Development Office. Reporting to the Corporate Development Director, the role supports evaluation of growth and investment opportunities, portfolio performance monitoring, strategic planning, financial analysis, and preparation of executive‑level materials. The position is a hands‑on individual contributor role that requires independent work with financial and operating data.

Key responsibilities

• Review and analyse income statements, balance sheets, cash flow statements and supporting financial information to identify trends, profitability drivers and financial risks.
• Monitor subsidiary and group performance against budgets, business plans, prior periods and agreed KPIs, preparing dashboards, variance analyses and performance reports.
• Build, update and quality‑check financial models for investments, acquisitions, divestments, financing alternatives and market‑entry opportunities, performing valuation, scenario and sensitivity analyses.
• Conduct market, sector, competitor and company research to assess market attractiveness, competitive positioning and growth opportunities.
• Support screening and preliminary evaluation of acquisitions, partnerships, joint ventures and organic growth opportunities, assisting with due‑diligence and transaction analyses.
• Prepare high‑quality presentations, briefing notes, investment papers and Board or management materials, coordinating with Finance, Treasury, Legal, HR, business units and external advisers.

• Ability to translate complex information into clear, decision‑useful insights.
