About the role
The Business Architect will lead the creation and upkeep of business architecture artefacts that link strategy, capabilities, value streams, services, processes and organisational responsibilities. This role supports evidence‑based investment decisions, transformation prioritisation and enterprise‑wide alignment within the Enterprise Architecture framework.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and maintain business capability maps, value streams, service catalogues and architecture viewpoints.
- Analyse strategic objectives and operating‑model changes, translating them into architecture requirements and roadmaps.
- Establish traceability between strategy, capabilities, services, processes, applications and initiatives in the EA repository.
- Collaborate with business owners and analysts to validate current‑state and target‑state models, identifying gaps, dependencies and priorities.
- Support transformation programmes, portfolio decisions and impact assessments with clear architecture insights.
- Apply EA governance, modelling standards and quality controls; contribute to Architecture Review Board material.
- Facilitate workshops and communicate findings to business and technology stakeholders.
- Contribute to the EA content framework, reference models, principles, KPIs and continuous‑improvement activities.
Required profile
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business architecture, enterprise architecture, business transformation or operating‑model design.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
- TOGAF certification required; additional credentials such as Business Architecture Guild (CBA), ArchiMate, BPMN, CBAP or Lean Six Sigma are advantageous.
- Experience in government, tax, financial services or large complex organisations is preferred.
- Native Arabic speaker with very good Business English.
Required skills
- Practical knowledge of TOGAF and business architecture concepts, including capability‑based planning and value‑stream modelling.
- Proficiency with ArchiMate and BPMN.
- Experience using EA or process‑modelling tools such as Orbus Infinity, Bizzdesign or SAP.
- Strong facilitation, analytical writing, stakeholder‑management and presentation abilities.
- Ability to translate complex business information into concise, decision‑ready architecture views.
