Business Development Executive – Lighting & Controls

About the role

Inovec Trading is seeking a commercially driven Business Development Executive to expand its Lighting Services and Products portfolio in Qatar. The role focuses on generating new business for lighting repair, retrofitting, assembly, customization, and panel fabrication, while also driving sales of LED lighting components and control solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new business for lighting repair, refurbishment, assembly and fabrication services.
• Promote workshop capabilities to contractors, facility‑management firms, lighting companies, electrical traders and project clients.
• Build recurring service accounts and long‑term customer relationships.
• Sell aluminium LED profiles, LED strips, LED modules, neon flex, LED drivers, LED controllers and related accessories.
• Identify opportunities for customized lighting assembly and fabrication.
• Conduct client meetings, market visits and site inspections.
• Coordinate with technical and engineering teams to prepare solutions and quotations.
• Follow up enquiries, quotations and projects through to order conversion.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and provide regular reports to management.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in lighting business development, technical sales or account management.
• Strong understanding of LED lighting products and technical solutions.
• Proven ability to generate new customers and develop business independently.
• Existing relationships with contractors, FM companies, lighting firms or traders in Qatar or the GCC is a strong advantage.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship‑management skills.
• Valid driving licence preferred.
• Willingness to relocate to Doha if currently based outside Qatar.
