Business Finance Partner

About the role

The Business Finance Partner will prepare financial and strategic information, monitor budget variances, evaluate opportunities and risks, and implement cost controls. The role supports middle‑management with business cases, dashboards and analyses, and provides insightful reporting for senior finance leadership.

Key responsibilities

• Develop business partner relationships with leaders of the assigned area.
• Prepare, analyse and present monthly KPI performance and quarterly rolling forecasts to budget holders and finance stakeholders.
• Analyse actuals, forecasts and budgets, delivering insights on cargo and corporate performance against benchmarks.
• Review commercial contracts and business proposals for compliance with policies and procedures.
• Provide objective financial views and recommendations for efficient resource allocation.
• Lead continuous financial analysis, cost‑reduction initiatives and target setting.
• Manage the budgeting process in line with CFO directives, challenging budget holders to optimise resource utilisation.
• Enhance presentations for the Cost Management Committee and conduct post‑CMC analysis for major capital projects.
• Conduct in‑depth analysis of complex strategic projects, presenting findings and recommendations.
• Monitor expenditure variances, investigate significant deviations and take corrective actions.
