About the role
DOPET is seeking an experienced Buyer to join its Procurement team in Doha, Qatar. The position focuses on sourcing, supplier coordination, and managing the end‑to‑end purchase process for oil and gas projects.
Key responsibilities
- Source suppliers and coordinate quotations.
- Analyse quotations and issue purchase orders.
- Expedite material deliveries and conduct receiving inspections.
- Monitor costs and prepare procurement reports.
- Ensure compliance with Quality, HSE, and company procurement procedures.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Supply Chain, Procurement, Business Administration, Engineering or related field.
- At least 1 year of relevant procurement experience, preferably in Oil & Gas, EPC or construction.
- Strong supplier negotiation and sourcing abilities.
- Knowledge of purchasing processes, PO management, expediting and material coordination.
- Proficiency with MS Office and ERP procurement systems.
