C4I Technician

About the role

The C4I Technician is responsible for maintaining and supporting the C4I systems installed in MRAP vehicles. Working under the direction of the C4I Supervisor, the technician ensures equipment security, accountability, and operational readiness across a range of electronic subsystems.

Key responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complete C4I electronic systems, including Tactical Communication, Intelligence Reconnaissance Surveillance & Navigation, Counter Radio Frequency Warfare, and IED defeat systems.
• Execute preventive maintenance plans based on manufacturer recommendations and environmental conditions.
• Provide inventory and serial‑number checks for all electronic equipment and prepare vehicles for shipment.
• Coordinate with supply and security teams to control access to C4I equipment and storage areas.
• Monitor vehicle mechanics working near sensitive electronics and deliver on‑the‑job training as needed.
• Attend and document upgrade and refresher training sessions.

Required profile

• Proficient with personal computers, Windows operating system, and Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Strong knowledge of industry‑standard software, PC hardware, networking, and communications systems.
• Ability to exercise sound judgment on complex technical issues.
• Valid driver’s license in the home country and ability to obtain a host‑nation license.
