Chef de Partie - Sushi

About the role

The Chef de Partie – Sushi will support the Sous Chef in delivering high‑quality sushi dishes for both buffet and à la carte service. Working in a fast‑paced kitchen in West Bay, Doha, you will combine hands‑on cooking with team leadership to ensure consistency, safety, and guest satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of sushi and other hot or cold menu items according to standardized recipes.
• Supervise kitchen shift operations, ensuring compliance with Food & Beverage policies, HACCP, OSHA, and local health regulations.
• Manage food quantities, plating, and decorative displays for daily service and special events.
• Produce daily production prep lists and assist in developing seasonal menu items.
• Train and cross‑train kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.

Required profile

• High school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of culinary experience, or a 2‑year degree in Culinary Arts/Hotel Management with 2 years of experience.
• Proven ability to maintain sanitation standards and food safety compliance.
• Strong leadership skills to supervise cooks and coordinate kitchen activities.

Required skills

• Sushi preparation and plating techniques.
• Food safety compliance (HACCP, OSHA, ASI).
• Menu development and production planning.
