Chief Accountant

About the role

Azizi Foods is seeking a proactive Chief Accountant to lead its finance function in Doha. You will be responsible for overseeing month‑end close, financial reporting, and ensuring compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform month‑end accounting activities, including reconciliations and journal entries.
• Prepare and present financial reports and statements to management.
• Analyze financial discrepancies, monitor expenditures, and report budget variances.
• Coordinate with the finance team to meet accounting deadlines.
• Support budgeting, expense management, and audit processes.
• Maintain accurate bank reconciliations and general ledger entries.
• Review and improve existing accounting procedures and internal controls.
• Guide and develop accounting staff, overseeing performance and training needs.

Required profile

• Strong background in accounting and finance, preferably within hospitality or food services.
• Experience managing month‑end and year‑end close processes.
• Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with management and cross‑functional teams.
