Chief Accountant (Real Estate Industry)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Chief Accountant to lead the finance function for our real‑estate operations in Doha. The role will drive financial planning, reporting, budgeting and compliance, ensuring robust internal controls across property‑related activities.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with company policies and accounting standards.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis for real‑estate projects, properties and business units.
• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations and property‑related accounts.
• Monitor financial transactions linked to leasing, rental income, service charges, maintenance and operating expenses.
• Track project and property budgets, costs, cash flows and financial performance.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial regulations, accounting standards and audit requirements.
• Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary documentation for property and project accounts.
• Analyze property and project performance, identify variances, cost trends and improvement opportunities.
• Contribute to reporting enhancements, process optimisation and strengthening of internal controls.
• Provide financial analysis to support real‑estate investment decisions, budgeting and strategic planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• CPA, ACCA or CMA certification preferred.
• Minimum 6 years of accounting or finance experience, preferably in real‑estate, property management or construction.
• Experience supervising or acting as a senior analyst.
