Civil & Steel Structure Engineer

About the role

Madre Integrated Engineering is hiring a Civil & Steel Structure Engineer in Doha, full time, within the oil & gas sector. The engineer inspects and monitors the quality of civil, structural, road, foundation, building and steel structure works on oil & gas and petrochemical projects.

Key responsibilities

• Inspect civil, structural, road, foundation and steel structure works for quality compliance.
• Review ITPs, method statements, QA/QC documents, inspection records and test certificates.
• Witness concrete temperature checks, slump tests, compaction tests, field sampling and laboratory testing.
• Monitor torque tightness, surface finish, steel structure installation and fireproofing works.
• Ensure compliance with project drawings, specifications, codes and standards.
• Raise NCRs for quality deficiencies and submit daily inspection reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in large civil and steel structure works.
• Experience in oil & gas, petrochemical or EPC projects preferred.
• Fluent in English.

Required skills

• Knowledge of civil construction, concrete works, steel structures, foundations, roads, culverts and fireproofing.
• Good knowledge of ITPs, method statements, inspection records and QA/QC procedures.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
