Commis Kitchen Assistant

About the role

The Ritz-Carlton, Doha is seeking a Commis to support kitchen operations, preparing ingredients and assisting in cooking across various stations. This full‑time position offers the chance to work in a luxury hospitality environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare ingredients by portioning, chopping, washing, peeling, weighing, measuring and mixing.
• Cook food according to recipes, quality and presentation standards, including cold foods.
• Operate ovens, stoves, grills, microwaves and fryers, and test foods for proper cooking.
• Monitor food quality, set up and break down work stations, and serve food in proper portions.
• Maintain cleanliness by washing and disinfecting kitchen areas, tools, knives and equipment.
• Check appliance and food temperatures, follow safety policies and report any hazards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• At least 1 year of related kitchen or food‑preparation experience.
• No supervisory experience required.

Required skills

• Food preparation and basic cooking techniques.
• Operation of kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, microwaves and fryers.
• Ability to follow recipes, quality standards and safety procedures.
