Commissioning Specialist (Technical) – Offshore Compression

About the role

The Commissioning Specialist (Technical) will support the Central Function (CFx) team in delivering commissioning, systems completion and operational handover for offshore compression projects. This is a 36‑month on‑site contract based in Qatar, working six days a week.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative assistance to the Department Manager, Head of System Completions (Technical) and CFx discipline leads.
• Develop, maintain and administer CFx SharePoint sites, document libraries, workflows and permission structures.
• Maintain the technical library, including commissioning procedures, specifications, templates and lessons‑learned documents.
• Prepare, format, publish and control job descriptions, procedures, presentations, technical reports and governance documentation.
• Coordinate recruitment, onboarding, resource planning, personnel assessments and workforce reporting activities.
• Support administration of specialist service contracts, framework agreements, change orders and contractor performance reporting.

Required profile

• Experience in commissioning or system completion activities within the oil & gas sector.
• Strong background in technical documentation and information management.
• Ability to work closely with multidisciplinary teams and support project delivery.

• SharePoint administration and site management.
