Compliance Manager – Doha

About the role

As the Compliance Manager for Qatar Airways Group in Doha, you will lead the development and execution of the company’s compliance and governance programme. You will interpret a wide range of regulations, advise senior management, and ensure that the Group operates within the legal frameworks governing sanctions, export control, anti‑bribery, data protection and more.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and supervise all compliance matters to ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations.
• Identify legal risks, propose remediation plans and monitor implementation of corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver compliance training, awareness programmes and related policies and procedures.
• Provide advice to management and employees on regulatory requirements across sanctions, export control, anti‑bribery, competition, governance and data protection.
• Conduct compliance risk assessments, identify gaps and define mitigation strategies.
• Lead third‑party risk management activities including due‑diligence and sanctions screening.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in compliance, regulatory or audit roles, with at least 5 years in a large organisation or in‑house corporate setting.
• Proven track record handling complex compliance issues and negotiating with internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong managerial skills with experience delegating work, coaching staff and fostering teamwork.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English.
