Construction Engineer – Civil

About the role

The Construction Engineer – Civil will oversee the civil scope of work for the ESW contractor, ensuring compliance with design, safety and quality standards. This full‑time position is based in Doha and works closely with on‑shore project engineering and the contractor’s engineering team.

Key responsibilities

• Review all technical documentation, including method statements, JSA’s, work methods and design drawings.
• Coordinate with the contractor’s engineering team and on‑shore project engineering for civil scope issues.
• Provide safety leadership, conduct daily toolbox talks and support the SHES management program.
• Monitor and coordinate site activities of the ESW contractor and its subcontractors.
• Report on construction progress, concerns and mitigation actions.
• Ensure compliance with RLIC permit‑to‑work requirements and act as Operating Authority.
• Review field changes, extra‑work requests and non‑conformance items.
• Oversee material handling, soil movement, disposal and warehousing within the assigned area.
