Construction Superintendent (Scaffolding)

About the role

We are seeking a Construction Superintendent specialised in scaffolding to lead on‑site scaffolding activities for a major oil & gas operator in Qatar. The role is on‑shore, residential, 6‑day weeks, and focuses on both on‑shore and offshore compression projects.

Key responsibilities

• Review and assure scaffolding scope on on‑shore and offshore projects, ensuring compliance with standards and procedures.
• Audit the ScafTag system and monitor EPC contractor and subcontractor scaffolding programmes, including training assessments.
• Provide input to pre‑qualification of scaffolding contractors, conduct qualification visits and audits of policies, procedures and competency systems.
• Support project teams with risk screening and formal risk assessments for scaffolding erection.
• Act as the on‑shore focal point for resolving scaffolding issues and monitor skill development of contractor personnel.
• Participate in or lead incident investigations and promote strong SHE&S networks across all contracting levels.

Required profile

• Minimum 12 years (144 months) of experience in scaffolding supervision within the energy or infrastructure sector.
• Proven experience with complex engineered scaffolding structures on both on‑shore and offshore sites.
• Strong knowledge of working‑at‑height regulations and safety standards.
• Ability to audit and assess contractor programmes and provide strategic recommendations.
