Corrosion Engineer – Offshore Projects

About the role

The Corrosion Engineer will provide on‑site technical support for anti‑corrosion and coating activities on platform modification and repair projects across the Middle East. The role involves guiding execution, coordinating with clients and design teams, and ensuring material and progress requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver field technical support for anti‑corrosion disciplines, ensuring compliance with drawings, documents and applicable standards.
• Coordinate with the client, design, and other departments to resolve technical issues encountered on site.
• Manage material requirements and drive construction progress to meet project delivery schedules.
• Undertake overseas assignments within the Middle East region, including offshore vessel/platform work.

Required profile

• Minimum 7 years of professional design experience in corrosion engineering or related fields.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Corrosion Science, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Applied Chemistry or similar engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
• Familiarity with industry codes, international standards and operational procedures; experience with major petroleum, chemical, engineering‑design or construction enterprises.
• Proven leadership on medium‑scale offshore engineering projects (contract value ≥ RMB 50 million or module weight ≥ 8,000 t).
• Bilingual in English and Chinese (written and spoken).

Required skills

• Corrosion engineering and anti‑corrosion technology.
• Coating inspection certification (CNAS Level II or AMPP Coating Inspector).
• Project technical leadership for offshore platforms, floating structures, SPMs, pipelines or new‑energy projects.
• Proficiency with office software and computer tools for engineering documentation.
