Data Lead – Data Governance & Management

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Data Lead to drive data governance, management, acquisition, and ingestion across the organization. The role will shape data practices, ensure data quality and security, and guide technical teams toward scalable, business‑focused solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead data governance, management, acquisition, and ingestion functions.
• Oversee collection, integration, storage, and processing of data.
• Develop and implement data management and governance strategies.
• Establish data acquisition practices that sanitize, structure, and optimize data for use.
• Ensure data integration, development, escalation, and resolution comply with privacy and security standards.
• Coordinate Data Architects, Data Engineers, and Data Scientists.
• Manage data integration activities related to customer onboarding.
• Develop and manage data‑sharing agreements with stakeholders.
• Drive data‑related operational and strategic decisions across multiple stakeholders.
• Participate in data governance forums and committees.
• Continuously improve data architecture, management capabilities, and processes throughout the product lifecycle.
• Promote effective data use to support business objectives and informed decision‑making.

Required profile

• Strong experience in data governance, enterprise data management, business intelligence, and advanced analytics.
• Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary data teams and deliver large‑scale programs.
• Understanding of the strategic and business value of data management and monetization.
• Experience in ICT, digital platforms, smart‑city initiatives or similar large‑scale technology environments is a plus.
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and decision‑making skills.
