Deputy Project Director - PMCM

About the role

We are seeking a Deputy Project Director to join our dynamic project management team in Doha, Qatar. In this pivotal role, you will support the Project Director in overseeing complex airport development and operational projects from conception through completion, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Project Director in planning, organizing and executing airport projects of varying scope and complexity.
• Manage project schedules, budgets and resource allocation to ensure optimal performance and cost control.
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, consultants and internal departments, to facilitate seamless execution.
• Monitor project progress against established timelines and deliverables, proactively identifying and addressing deviations.
• Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies to minimise disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with aviation regulations, safety standards and organisational policies throughout all phases.
• Prepare and present detailed project reports, status updates and performance metrics to senior leadership.
• Lead and mentor project teams to maintain high standards of quality and collaboration.

Required profile

• Minimum 18 years of experience (216 months) in airport or large‑scale infrastructure project management.
• Proven track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to conduct risk assessments and implement effective mitigation plans.
• In‑depth knowledge of aviation regulations and safety standards.
