Director of Communications

About the role

As the Director of Communications for Rosewood Doha, you will lead the development and execution of a comprehensive communications strategy that elevates the hotel’s brand, engages guests and partners, and supports business objectives across a luxury hospitality ecosystem.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and measure integrated marketing, communications and public‑relations programmes that reinforce Rosewood Doha’s image and market positioning.
• Oversee creation of all external and internal communication materials, including press releases, media kits, newsletters, digital content and corporate publications.
• Manage media relations, cultivate relationships with journalists, influencers and industry partners, and secure coverage in relevant outlets.
• Lead crisis communication planning and act as the primary spokesperson for the property when required.
• Collaborate with hotel departments, sales, food & beverage and wellness teams to ensure consistent brand messaging across all touchpoints.
• Monitor and analyse communication metrics, media coverage and competitor activity to inform continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Proven senior‑level experience in communications, public relations or brand management, preferably within luxury hospitality or related lifestyle sectors.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic communication plans that drive brand awareness and business growth.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, with a strong editorial eye.
• Leadership experience managing cross‑functional teams and external agencies.
