Director of Finance

About the role

Corinthia is seeking an experienced, commercially‑minded Director of Finance to lead the finance function at its Gewan Island property in Doha, Qatar. The role will shape financial strategy, ensure robust governance and provide commercial insight to support continued growth.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic financial leadership and partner with the Leadership Team to achieve long‑term objectives.
• Oversee all finance operations including accounting, reporting, treasury, tax, budgeting, forecasting and cash‑flow management.
• Prepare and present accurate financial statements, management reports and performance analyses.
• Monitor performance against budgets, identify risks and opportunities, and drive improvement initiatives.
• Develop and implement financial policies, controls and procedures that support effective governance.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, tax and reporting requirements and manage internal and external audits.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process, providing financial modelling and commercial insight.
• Analyse business performance, trends, costs, revenues and investment opportunities to drive sustainable growth.
• Oversee treasury activities, funding requirements and working‑capital management.
• Lead, mentor and develop the finance team, fostering a high‑performance culture.

Required profile

• Proven experience in senior finance leadership within a commercial environment.
• Commercially minded with strong strategic and analytical capabilities.
• Demonstrated ability to ensure robust governance and regulatory compliance.
• Excellent leadership, communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
