Early Years Teacher

About the role

Nord Anglia Education is looking for a warm, creative Early Years Teacher to join Etqan Global Academy in Doha. The role focuses on delivering play‑based, inquiry‑led learning within the IB PYP Early Years framework for children aged 3‑6, while fostering a safe and stimulating environment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging, play‑based and inquiry‑led learning experiences aligned with the IB PYP Early Years framework.
• Create and maintain a nurturing, safe classroom where all children feel valued.
• Assess and track children’s development using observations and portfolio evidence.
• Build strong partnerships with parents through regular communication.
• Collaborate with the Early Years team to plan, reflect on, and review units of inquiry.
• Promote the IB learner profile, international‑mindedness and PYP attitudes.
• Support children’s wellbeing, independence and social‑emotional development.
• Contribute to the wider school community, including CPD, events and improvement activities.

Required profile

• Recognised teaching qualification in Early Years, primary or early childhood education (PGCE, QTS, B.Ed or equivalent).
• Minimum 24 months experience teaching 3‑6‑year‑olds, preferably in an IB or international school.
• Knowledge of the IB PYP Early Years framework or an equivalent inquiry‑based curriculum.
• Strong understanding of child development theory and play‑based learning.
• Excellent communication skills and a nurturing approach to working with young children and families.
• Commitment to inclusive practice, safeguarding and child protection.
