Electrical Engineer – Power & Desalination Projects

About the role

Linum Consult is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join a major Middle‑East client on a power‑plant and desalination‑plant project in Doha. The role focuses on design review, construction monitoring and commissioning support for instrumentation and control systems.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct design reviews and provide technical input for electrical systems.
• Monitor construction activities and support commissioning of instrumentation and control equipment.
• Attend site meetings, review EPC contractor reports and related project documentation.
• Review method statements, procedures and test plans for factory and site activities.
• Participate in inspections, system walk‑downs, and raise punch‑list items, defects and NCRs.
• Support the preparation and coordination of O&M manuals, spares lists and related planning.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• 7‑10 years of experience on desalination or power‑plant construction projects.
• Strong knowledge of conceptual design, construction, commissioning, operations and maintenance.
• Familiarity with GCC electrical safety codes and regulations.
• Proficient in MS Office and good English communication skills.
• Currently residing in Qatar with immediate availability.
