Electrician – Facility Maintenance

About the role

The electrician will deliver maintenance and repair services for guest rooms and facility equipment at a hotel in Lusail, Qatar. You will respond to guest repair requests, perform preventive maintenance, and ensure all work follows safety and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Attend to guest repair requests and communicate solutions promptly.
• Perform preventive maintenance, cleaning and lubrication of tools, kitchen and mechanical‑room equipment.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment and machines; carry necessary equipment and radios.
• Identify and operate shut‑off valves for equipment and building utilities.
• Maintain inventory, requisition parts and supplies as needed.
• Document daily activities and hand over information to subsequent shifts.
• Carry out surface preparation, painting, minor drywall and wood‑trim repairs.
• Replace light bulbs, A/C filters, electrical switches, outlets and perform basic electrical troubleshooting.
• Test, troubleshoot and repair plumbing fixtures, HVAC components and other guestroom items.
• Use Lockout/Tagout procedures before any maintenance work.
• Perform minor landscaping and sprinkler repairs.
• Input air‑handler schedules and adjust temperature settings using basic computer skills.

Required profile

• Physical ability to lift, carry, push or pull objects up to 50 lb (heavier items with assistance).
• Basic knowledge or willingness to acquire knowledge in air‑conditioning, refrigeration, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, pneumatic/electronic systems, carpentry, kitchen equipment, vehicles, energy conservation and general building maintenance.
• Clear and professional communication with guests and team members.
