Engineering Supervisor – Hotel Facilities

About the role

The Engineering Supervisor supports engineering and facilities operations at Element City Center Doha. The role combines hotel equipment maintenance, life‑safety checks, guest repair response, and employee support.

Key responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and perform preventive maintenance on tools, appliances, and equipment.
• Calibrate controls, gauges, and meters and operate identified shut‑off valves.
• Order, mark, and stock parts and supplies; maintain inventory and purchase‑order logs.
• Inspect tools, equipment, and machines; record work‑related information using computers.
• Operate a power lift and complete life‑safety checklists, including fire‑pump and generator run tests.
• Inspect fire sprinkler valves and alarm systems; assist with disaster response protocols.
• Respond to guest repair requests promptly.
• Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees.
• Welcome and acknowledge guests, anticipate service needs, and assist individuals with disabilities.
• Identify and implement ways to improve efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and cost savings.

Required profile

• Technical, trade, or vocational school degree (preferred).
• At least 2 years of related work experience (preferred).
• At least 2 years of supervisory experience (preferred).
• Ability to complete required safety training and certifications.
• Physical ability to lift/move objects up to 50 lb, reach overhead, bend, twist, stand, walk and use stairs or service ramps.
