Estimation Engineer – Oil & Gas EPC Projects

About the role

Crystal Oilfield Services is seeking an Estimation Engineer to support its Oil & Gas EPC projects in Qatar. The role involves managing the full estimation cycle from BOQ preparation to commercial evaluation, ensuring competitive and accurate tender pricing.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates, BOQs and quantity take‑offs for Oil & Gas EPC projects.
• Review tender documents, engineering drawings, specifications and scope of work.
• Conduct market research, cost analysis and price benchmarking in the Qatar market.
• Obtain, evaluate and analyse vendor and subcontractor quotations.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Procurement and Construction teams for technical and commercial input.
• Support preparation and submission of tenders and commercial bids.
• Participate in vendor/subcontractor negotiations and commercial evaluations.
• Maintain and update estimation cost databases and pricing records.
• Identify project risks, cost‑saving opportunities and support value engineering.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Proven experience in Oil & Gas/EPC/Industrial construction estimation.
• Strong background in BOQ preparation, quantity take‑off and cost estimation.
• Solid knowledge of civil construction methodologies and industry standards.
• Experience managing vendors, subcontractors and quotations.
• Familiarity with the Qatar market pricing is highly preferred.
• Excellent English communication skills and ability to work under pressure to meet tender deadlines.
