Estimation Engineer – Oilfield Machining & Manufacturing

About the role
We are seeking an Estimation Engineer with solid experience in oilfield equipment and CNC machining. The role focuses on preparing accurate cost estimates for machining, manufacturing, repair, and refurbishment projects.
Key responsibilities
- Review RFQs, engineering drawings, GD&T and API specifications.
- Calculate material, labor and machine costs for oilfield equipment.
- Source supplier quotations and prepare Bills of Materials.
- Develop detailed cost breakdowns and technical/commercial proposals.
- Maintain estimation databases and ensure compliance with API standards.
Required profile
- Diploma in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Production Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in oil & gas, oilfield equipment or API‑certified machine shops.
- Strong knowledge of API 6A, 16A, 17D, 7‑1 and API 5CT requirements.
- Familiarity with premium thread types (EUE, BTC, rotary‑shouldered connections).
- Understanding of oilfield materials such as AISI 4130, 4140, Inconel cladding and Duplex Stainless Steel.
